I am glad that you approve of the book that I bought for Aden, Miss Walker. Best to start them early, I gather.

And Luke, again, an honor to have met you. Did you find what you were looking for in there?

Mm, Barnabas, I am thankful for the help around the library, but I must also hire someone, uhum, taller, to help me around the library.

The position for assistant librarian is still open. And perhaps, someone who can mind the computer room of the library and supervise and maintain it for upgrades and the like.

Again, they must not mind working with a dog. And a cat. And a raven as well.

EDIT:I would like to welcome Miss Raven and Luke to the library staff. But of course, we are still looking for extra hands to help. An assistant for the circulations desk, for example...

Tameri was chasing this... thing when I awoke. It has been chattering that phrase ever since. ... I imagined the elder gods to be much bigger. It has been still ever since it leaped at my head. Fortunately, it hasn't tried to bite me. Yet. I have kept Tameri in her carrier all the same. I noticed some bite marks on her. I might take her to the vet later. But I will not risk going near her with this ... on my head.

[ Have a very lanky, very inebriated librarian stumbling about in the square, quite confused as to where the direction of the library went. He didn't quite like beer, but he found out that it went down quite easy when you were talking to someone else (Cain). After a loooong conversation with Cain and several pints of the stuff later (and quite possibly 1 or 2 Irish Car Bombs, thank you Corinthian)... ]

He suspected it to be a curse, it had to be, for Lord Morpheus already dealt with it. It skipped a generation, Unity Kinkaid was supposed to be the vortex. And in the end, it was her life that was taken.

He put down the book he was reading and stood before the window. He wanted to reach out to Rose, but was not sure himself if he'd survive diving into something like that. It was with relief that he felt Lord Dream finally reach her and take her to the Dreaming. Now...

Lucien sighs. And looks at the clock. He wished that midnight would come sooner. And wished that it was just a curse after all.]

The company four days past was quite pleasant. I hope they come back to the city again. Though everything reverting back to almost prehistoric times was quite an inconvenience.

And whoever this Mr. Gaiman character-author is, his imagination is no doubt extensive but a bit too over-zealous. Good grief. "swing both ways", indeed...

... it ticks to the end of all things, if my memory serves me correctly, based on the guides I have read so far...

As things begin, so they must end eventually. We must all meet the Lady Death sometime.

It is curious though, that a carousel be chosen as a harbinger for the end.

It is a shame there is no material relating to the city or the carousel. Has this place existed ever since the beginning of time? Has the city always had this form, despite the landscape-altering curses? The carousel going round and round unceasingly seems to be a visual aspect of the clock, wherever this clock is. Underground, perhaps? Or... the ticking is certainly loud enough...

... Lord Destiny might surely know something, but I doubt he can be pressed to say anything about the matter.

And I have seen Paulie, Lenny and Miss Sabine come to the city. Are the deities here cyclical? They say they hearken to a higher power. Has this higher power come and manifested itself to the City? Mm, perhaps those who have been here for quite a while might be able to answer that...

There must be something written, some clue somewhere. I shall make a thorough search of the library once more. If that yields nothing, perhaps the network archives...
