Princess Rue, anyone from the Opera House, if I may ask about Cain's disposition? Is he faring any better?
...
I am glad that you approve of the book that I bought for Aden, Miss Walker. Best to start them early, I gather.
And Luke, again, an honor to have met you. Did you find what you were looking for in there?
Mm, Barnabas, I am thankful for the help around the library, but I must also hire someone, uhum, taller, to help me around the library.
The position for assistant librarian is still open. And perhaps, someone who can mind the computer room of the library and supervise and maintain it for upgrades and the like.
Again, they must not mind working with a dog. And a cat. And a raven as well.
EDIT:I would like to welcome Miss Raven and Luke to the library staff. But of course, we are still looking for extra hands to help. An assistant for the circulations desk, for example...

This has... struck him to his core, I see...
...
Ah, yes. It has been a month since Ptolemy, my former assistant librarian went home. Are you interested in being my assistant librarian, Miss Raven?
feelssounds like it. I hope he won't do anything reckless; it'll be exactly what his opponent wants from him.I spend most of my time there anyway. I'd like to help if I can.
Indeed, I notice you here most often. Well, then, you are hired, Miss Raven. I thank you for the help.
Ah, and please do not mind Barnabas (the dog), Tameri (the cat) and Matthew (the raven). Barnabas and Matthew are both from my world, and I am keeping Tameri for an old friend for the time being.
No problem. I would like to. This is the biggest Library I've ever seen; I just hope I can do well enough.
I'm ... not the best with animals, but I don't mind them
if they don't try to lick me. And ravens, I'm familiar with.I have no doubt you shall do splendidly.
Ah, Barnabas is well behaved. And rather a jolly sort of dog. He does not lick, let me assure you. Tameri as well, she mostly keeps to her corner of the library, though you might find her mostly by the window.
Ah, yes, Matthew. He is our Lord Dream's raven. I am glad to hear you do not have any objections to animals around the library. And... ah, you have ravens yourself?
And it seems that Luke will be working here as well. You have met each other?
-- ah, thank ... you
?.Oh, good. My last encounter with a dog was very ... wet, but if he doesn't lick, I see no problem at all.
At least they are not afraid of me.Something like that. They're not really pets though. Lord Dream...?
Briefly, yes. He came over yesterday, right?
Ah, yes. Lord Dream is our Lord and master. Our realm is The Dreaming. I also oversee the library in the castle, hence I am doing the same thing here. He comes by every now and then, same with his sisters and brother and brother-sister.
No, I am the librarian. That is my function. Being a nightmare is his.
Oh... okay. The dreamworld has a library too? Are they connected somehow, dreams and stories?
Indeed. The library I maintained there is a little different though. The books in there are books that have never been written by anyone. Unfinished ones, books that have only been thought about by their respective authors, those are the books that I kept.
Ah, yes, very much so. Lord Dream is also called the prince of stories. He dispenses dreams to the dreamers.
I like him.... cool. Sounds like a neat job.
[ooc: Inwardly, Raven goes *___* do want.]
It is the only job that I know how to do.
[ooc: ^__^ Mun wants it too]
... yes, I think that is a good thing.
So, when should I start?
I'll probably still come by sometime though.
If you don't get any other applicants I wouldn't mind helping out for a little while. I've struck out so far in the job department.
How goes the Greek uprising?
Ah, I'd be honored! Since you know your way around the computer room already, would you not mind in upgrading the technology the library currently has? Sonny did an admirable job with it during his tenure, but as you saw, it ceased when he left. But certainly, there are jobs out there for someone with your very considerable talents.
A few singed pages due to fires, and spears sticking out of the pages, but it was quelled, mostly. By placing them as far apart as they possibly can be placed. Different bookshelves, even.
Updating the computers sounds good. I found some holocrons and a few other things, I'll probably see if I can make an advanced technology corner, or something.
... Books are weirder than I thought.
... ah! Not all of them are like that, of course. Some are inanimate. But some here are imbued with magic, and... well, come alive.
... it keeps the place interesting.
Wow. I'll keep that in mind if I decide to go browsing.
It looks like Raven will be around, too?
I've learned that if you open a book and you hear any noise coming from it, best to close it and look for another copy that is quieter.
Ah, yes. Miss Raven comes here often. You two have met each other then?
Princess, do you know the whereabouts of Riff, then?
Was Riff forcibly taken? Or... went away of his own volition?
